Why Ajax

Frequently asked questions about Ajax

Does an Ajax system work if the internet goes down?

The Ajax control panel can use several communication channels: internet cable, mobile network and Wi‑Fi (depending on the model). If one channel is unavailable, the system uses another. That is why we recommend choosing at least two connection types.

Do Ajax devices need to be wired?

Ajax sensors are wireless and run on batteries, so there is no need to run cables through the walls. The control panel and cameras need a power supply.

How long do Ajax sensors run on batteries?

Ajax sensors run for 4 to 7 years without a battery change, Ajax keypads for 1 to 3 years. The actual time depends on the settings and how intensively they are used. The Ajax app warns you about low battery well in advance.

How will I control the Ajax system?

With the Ajax mobile app. You can also choose an Ajax key fob or keypad.

What does photo verification mean in an Ajax system?

When the alarm goes off, an Ajax sensor with a camera takes pictures and sends them to the app, so you can see straight away what is happening.

Can an Ajax system be connected to a security company?

Most security companies can monitor an Ajax system. You can send a request to connect to a security company straight from the Ajax app. The system can also work on its own, but then only the users of your system will receive alarm notifications.

Which Ajax control panel will you install for me?

We offer Ajax Hub, Ajax Hub 2, Ajax Hub 2 4G and Ajax Hub 2 Plus. The choice of control panel depends on what you specify in the calculator: whether you need sensors with photo verification (MotionCam), whether the system includes video surveillance, and whether the panel needs a 4G (LTE) or Wi‑Fi connection. We include the most suitable control panel in the estimate automatically. We will agree the exact equipment list when you place your order.
